Friends' Babies
Two friends of mine recently gave birth. One had a boy named Odin Andreas Trygve (big sister Anastasia - their father is Norwegian). My other friend had a girl named Ruby Georgina. Wdyt?Jenn

I love Ruby Georgina! Such a cute combo but I think it will also age well.Odin Andreas Trygve seems a little much but I still like it. Though I like Odin Andreas or Odin Trygve more. Odin and Anastasia don't match but they also don't clash, they are just whatever together.

Love them both. Odin and Anastasia is quite the sucker-punch sibset. While Odin is nms, I fully support the use of obscure and powerful names. Ruby Georgina is just plain adorable. I mean, just ridiculously cute.

The boy's name is not really my thing, but I think Ruby Georgina is pretty. Personally I would prefer Georgia or Georgiana though.

I love Georgina but have never liked Ruby
Nice combo flow, though.

Odin Andreas Trygve is great. Though Andreas Odin Trygve would be even better.
Ruby is a bit overused imo. And I prefer Georgia over Georgina.

Agree about Andreas Odin Trygve, that would just be over-the-top awesome. Though, I work in a primarily Austrian company and Andreas is the name of every other guy... so location could be a factor for that one. Ruby IS pretty trendy right now... but it is still one of those "awww" names.
*btw, Myrtle Nola is a fantastic name.

You're right. She did mention the father is Norwegian, and I know Andreas is very popular in Norway. But I suppose they don't live there... But it's a great name anyway. Ruby is cute on a little girl, but I'm still having problems picturing it on a grown woman. There's Ruby Wax of course, but I don't know if she's the best example :-)* Thanks! We're looking for a name for her baby brother or sister now, it's a challenge ;-)
