Finch is kind of cool; I'd like it as a nature name. Camellia is alright, I prefer Camilla or Camille now, but at one time I think I really liked Camellia.Melodia is just too much for me.

Finch - at last, a worse name than Atticus.
Melodia - I find Melody unpleasantly sugary and poshing it up doesn't help.
Camilla, fine. Camille, fine if you're French. Camellia? More desert animal than pretty flower, I'm afraid.

Finch - reminds me of cartoon villains. I am sure Finch was the last name of said villains, but I still remember that name being bandied about while some hapless animation stumbles around hurting himself instead of accomplishing his "evil" intentions. However, if I think of it as a bird, I am far more inclined to like it - especially on a girl. In fact, on a girl I find it downright adorable. I have a secret love for noun and natury names on children... so I approve, while knowing that it is slightly absurd on a child. Still... we live in an absurd world and one more chubby cheeked child with a noun-name will not end it. (I'd think it brings some needed cheeriness). Melodia - A bit over the top... but with all the Alessandra, Christiana, Ameliana, etc running around, the name fits right in. I love the sound and the meaning and prefer it to tons of other elongated names (Evangelina included). Plus, Dia is one of those amazing nicknames. Camellia - want to love it, but my adoration of Camille, Camilla and Carmella make me grimace at Camellia. I wouldn't hate it on a kid, since it has some flair and decent nickname options - but I would always be thinking of the beauty of Camille and disappointed that it wasn't used.
Sorry for the wordy response, I am in a rambling mood (watched Gilmore Girls yesterday).

I adore FinchMelodia sounds like a brand name or else a medical term- be it an affliction or the medicine to treat it. Camellia is beautiful but I just can't get past "camel" being right out there in front

"Finch! Finch! Finch!"
"Stiffler's mom! Stiffler's mom!"
That takes care of Finch, I think.Melodia is sort of brand-namish to me, like Victrola. Melody is much nicer.
Camellia sounds very fictional-southern-belle to me. Camille or Camilla is better.
