FayeI like them all, but probably Faye the most.
Fay is too much the mythical creature and Fae looks made-up.
But I would only use it as a middle name, that's for sure!

Les is more. Fay.Unfortunately, both Fay and Violet seem to end up attached to large, loud, clumsy women, which is quite a deterrent. The only elegant, talented, dainty and beautiful Fay I've ever known had it as a mn and didn't use it at all (she was Tessa Fay). All the others have been gauche and unattractive. Could be just my bad luck!

Must be. I know several Violets (children though). They are all quite dainty children. One of them is a vegan, so I imagine she will remain dainty for her life. I have never actually met a Fay, so I am not even sure how it feels as a real name.

I have never minded the name tbh. Faye is my preferred spelling of choice. I find it kind of sweet that it means fairy too.

I like both Fay and Fae, but not so much the Faye spelling. Overall I'd say I like Fae best though. It's a lovely name.

I think of Faye as a friendly, feminine kind of name. Faye is my favorite spelling; I wouldn't use the Fae spelling unless I specifically wanted to play up the link to fairy folk.

I quite like it, although I prefer May - it feels more classic and less airy-fairy.I prefer the Faye spelling. Fay looks incomplete and Fae is too fantastical - like it's something to do with faeries.

Don't like it. It's so whispy...it that a word...like light and without substance.
But Faye is my preferred spelling.

Just as a name, I prefer Faye. As a spelling, I like Fae, but I wouldn't use it personally because it's so fantasy-related, and hence I think a bit much. Fay I don't really like.

1.Faye
2.Fay
3.Fae.I'm a little surprised that I prefer Faye, as I usually don't like extra letters. Just that Fay seems very small!
But it's not a strong preference, Fay is ok too. Fae is too fairy-like for me.

I guess my impressions mirror yours. Usually I don't like extra letters, but in this case Faye seems more complete and (yes) normal. Fae is very fairy. I love the idea of fairies, but I guess I wouldn't name children after them. I am not too keen on Pixie either, even though it is a bold choice.

Pixie is cute, but just as a nick-name, I think. Prime minister Pixie Smith!Supreme Court Judge Pixie Smith!Although if one attains such an office, you can be any name you like.

I read once that there is a Doctor (surgeon of some kind) in Wales named Pixie. Had to respect it more after that, but I personally don't take it seriously.

I love Fae! It's one of my favourite names. Plus I love anything mythical or to do with folklore. My favourite is definitely Fae (second choice would be Fey) because it's closest to 'faerie', and has more of a whimsical/magical/mystical feel to it. I suppose Faye just looks a bit normal, and I love the look of a and e (ae) together.

I like Faye the best. It looks the most complete.

I like Fay the best. Probably because I know a Faye who is older, it seems older somehow, which I know is silly. Fae looks silly and incomplete, even though I like Mae.
