Sorry, but I don't like them. They make me think of cola, cocillana and colon.

My first thought was ... colon.Enough said.

They remind me of "colic" or "melancholia" and sound like a disease. I guess I prefer Coliana because it at least sounds like it might be a feminization of Colin.

I dislike them both. They look like bacteria.

I'm afraid I get various medical terms coming to mind.

Well, Colia is an actual name (though not spelled that way). That's what my cousin's name sounds like, though for the life of me I can't remember how it's spelled... I guess I like it. I mean, I'm used to it and I don't think it's terrible. Coliana is nicer and I wouldn't be surprised to learn it's actually been used either. It reminds me a lot of names from the turn of the century.

I think Colia sounds like a disease :/ Like a cross between colic and cholera. Coliana is a little better, less disease-y. It's very frilly though.. most -anna names are. I might like Colianne more, but then you may as well use Corianne. So. Colianna over Colia but I don't really like either.

My associations with the sound, in the order they came to me: melancholia, E. coli, cholera, Collie (dog), colic, scoliosis, coleus (plant), cola, co- as in cooperate, Colleen, Colin. Not a whole lot of pleasant things there, but nothing so close that it's really ruinous either. I think it's usable. Colia is easier to deal with than Coliana, it's less fanciful and asks less of me, so I like it more. I'm not personally attracted to the sound or look. I think Colea might be more appealing than Colia. Colina is nicer than any, but you might not like the loss of emphasis on the CO part.

Colia ... coalier? More covered with soot? Apart from that, both names look medical - something to do with coeliac disease, maybe. I think sticking to Nicole or Nicola would be much better.

I think of cocillana, a medicine. Colia and Coliana are both awful.
