Name sighting
I came across a girl who looked about 4/5 a while back named Blade.
It really made me recoil. What can be going through those parents heads??

I know twin boys named Blade and Hunter.
It's not perfect, but I honestly don't think it's THAT bad. I prefer it on a boy, where it's a GP of mine. But no..I don't think it's a horrible name for a girl. Nothing I would choose, but still better then some of the others I've seen around here.
Maybe they just really, really like Wesley Snipes?
Or hate vampires?
One or the other.

As far as the name goes, I can understand the apeal judging solely on the sound of the name. However, I can agree that because of the meaning of the word it is an odd choice, especially for a girl.
"We're, like, so geeky, hahahaha! We write fanfiction and go to Comic Con and we spend all our time in costume b/c we're like totes into RPG!!! Blade is the name of this totally strong female anime character who can turn herself into a snail or a doorknob to go undercover and she wears this awesome rubber costume with spikes around the crotch and she has blades that come out of her fingers, so that's why she called Blade, get it?!"
LOL
A girl named Blade,it's really wondering me, That parents must have thought differently.
That is really bad, especially on a girl.
That's probably one of the worst names I've seen — let alone on a girl!
