Re: Delilah
Once, when I was little, I wanted to name a knickknack poodle Delilah. My mom immediately shot it down because of the Biblical Delilah.I say that because I was going to say that I don't think you should use it because of the strong connotations it has... but then I remembered little me and how I thought the name had a pretty sound and how I was barred from using it on my tiny poodle. Honestly, I would adore this name if it didn't make people think of manipulators and strippers. That's really the only downside this name has, and while it could be a big deal, I think meeting a little girl with this name could help alter that perception. So yeah, this is a name that I feel is usable, it just needs to be used with caution. Know beforehand that some people will likely associate the name with the Biblical Delilah, and if that bothers you too much, you should probably drop it. But if you don't think it matters and that actually meeting a little Delilah could change peoples' minds, then by all means use it. I actually do like it.
