If the first element ends with 'tsu' or 'chi' and the second one begins with 'h' (like 'hachi'), it is normally transformed into *pp*, like Ippachi, Ippei etc.If the first element ends with 'n' and the second one begins with 's' (like 'saburō' or 'saemon') or 'h' (like 'hē'), it is normally transformed into something like Jinzaburō, Genbē or Shinpachi, though in the case for Manhachi, (for some unknown reason) it can be Manhachi or Manpachi. My PNL: http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/149249
