I like Spencer for a girl. Sam and Asa work too.
Kai is already a trendy boys name, so it sounds even worse on a girl. Alex is a common nickname for girls but it doesn't sound feminine too me.

I like Spencer a little. I'm not sure if it works. I don't even know a girl named Kai, but I know 6 boys with that name, so I'm not sure about Kai either. I thought it would be better for a girl than Charles or Peter or James. Although I do know a girl named Charlie.
