Una
I like the name Una and Oona, as well. I am back and forth on which I prefer more. Una seems more dignified and dusty brown, while Oona seems more spirited and bright white. It needs a long middle name, preferably at least nine letters for me to feel like it is a balanced combo. Another thing, my last name is Homayouni (the last two syllables are the same as "Uni"), so Una Homayouni, if used, would be fun and distinctive if a little non-serious. I also like Henry Homayouni, which gives me the same zaniness factor, but not quite as much as Una.Comments welcome.

Una's ok, but I can't really get past the fact that it litterally means "One" in my native language. For the same reason I also can't help but pronounce it "Oona" rather than "Yoona".

I like Oona and would be pleasantly surprised to see it on a little girl. I don't care for Una at all. It looks odd and all I can see is the Spanish word for "one".Oona/Una Homanyouni sounds like a cartoon character. It's fun and distinctive all right, but not in a good way for a real person.Oona Margaret
Oona Violette
Oona Gabrielle
Oona Magdalene
Oona Corisande
Oona Melisande
Oona Catherine/Katherine
Oona Rosemary
Oona Seraphine
Oona Marielle
Oona Mathilde
Oona Pearl (I know you said you preferred longer middle names but I think this is very charming in its simplicity)

Una Homayouni is an EXCELLENT name. I love how internationally glamorous it is. Sounds like it could belong to anyone from a supermodel to a world-renowned cellist to a UN Ambassador. So in that instance, I'm completely on team Una (though interestingly for me, Una is the white name - clean, smooth, sculpture white - I suppose because U is a "white" letter in my mind). However, for myself, I'm all about Oona. It is so open, friendly, and wacky that I just love it to bits. Also, that spelling looks best with my last name ;) They are both excellent names!I think Una would look really elegant with some of your go-to favourites, like Una Charlotte and Una Elizabeth. I prefer Oona. Una just makes me think of the Spanish word. But I'm not really a big fan of either of them tbh.

I prefer Una. And yes, Una Homayouni would be fun! As for middles... I'm liking angelic names at the moment, so what about Una Seraphine or Una Celestine? Also Una Clarimonde is nice, I think.

Love Una / Oona.
I agree that Oona seems to carry around a bit more quirk, but in a delightful way. Una, while having a charming personality, is more straightforward and respectable on paper. I would consider both usable, and have met little Unas and Oonas in my life to cement that opinion. I grew up with a name combination that carried the same sounds throughout, so it mirrors the "zany" quality of your choices with Homayouni. I personally think that lighthearted feeling names (especially when you have a complicated or long last name) is a desirable thing. I really like Una Homayouni, but I have to say that Oona Homayouni is much more spirited to read! I quite like it. Alliteration with Henry Homayouni is fine. I have no problem with initial alliteration as long as it's not an unfortunate pairing (like PP). In this case Henry Homayouni sounds like someone famous.
