Hmm, I never thought of Jodie for a nickname for Josephine but I suppose it COULD work. I'm personally more partial to "Josie" as a NN. Its more clearer to understand. People won't question how you get one name from the other. I get the Jo part but that's about it \:
I don't hate "Delilah" I never have. I want to love it but something's holding me back from obsessing over it. Perhaps it's the fact that when I was really young, I used to own a cat named this and for the longest time I always associated the name to a cat, in which I'm aware is really weird. The name also places to mind a certain personality and lifestyle which isn't a bad association at all. I think "Delilahs been a name that I've always been neutral on; I don't love it but I also don't have any beef with it as well. I think i'm prefering Dakota more which isn't my usual taste. I definitely see it as an unisex name;fitting for a tomboy type. I do like "Darlene" but I'm more partial to "Marlene nn Marley" for no particular reason. I don't think D is my letter when it comes to girl names \: Dalia, Delia and Delora are on my list but I don't LOVE them. I guess I'm just searching for others that I may prefer more
