A friend of mine had a nephew recently. His name is Wilmer. Now my friend is the proud uncle of three toddlers: Arvid, Idun and Wilmer!

Seems like a mash-up of Elmer and Wilbur.

I don't like either of the names. Wilmer sounds so childish.

I don't think I like the sound of the name Wilmer, though I'm not sure why as it seems to be formed from elements I normally would like just fine. Anyway, it's certainly not a name I see so much as to be "boring," so that's nice. :)

I don't know if I've ever seen Arvid or Idun before, but I really love Arvid!

Wilmer seems sort of out of place amongst Arvid and Idun, but more endearingly so than jarringly. I like it!
