Virtue names (for boys)
Most of the lists I have seen of virtue names seem to put them either in the female (mostly) or male camp. Are there any actual unisex virtue names and if not, which ones usually used for girls do you think could carry across to the boys as well?
Replies
Justice, Able, Chance, Sage (a person of wisdom), Noble, Pax (for peace), Ernest, Constantine, Clement (to grant clemency is to grant mercy), Will, Concord, and Valiant are all typically boy names.
Somewhat unisex names include:
Honor
Freedom
Remember
Valor
Reason
Merit
Passion
Truth
Patriot
Dare
Resolve
Honor is probably my favorite. You may want to go with a name that has a virtue meaning like Elessar, which means hope in Tolkien's elvish, or Salvatore meaning savior.

Faithful from The Pilgrim's Progress made me really like that for a boy, but in a video adaptation they made Faithful a woman instead, so I guess that could be unisex. I'd still prefer to think of it as the "boy's version" of Faith, though.
Ones I could see working for either...
Modesty
Deliverance
Remembrance
Sojourner (not entirely sure if this is considered a virtue name or not)
Honor
Justice
Blythe
Truth / True
Freedom

I can't think of any in relatively common use (maybe August? kinda), but my favorite virtue names for boys:
Ardor
Constance
Grace
Honor
Jubilation
Merit
Noble
Sage
Troth
Truth
Victory
Zeal
Then there's Clemence and Perseverence too.

Verity is usually a girl's name, but in the 'Realm of the Elderlings', it's a guy: Prince (and later King) Verity. Also in 'Realm of the Elderlings' (all male): Chivalry, Regal, Shrewd, Dutiful, Steady, Swift, Nimble, Thick, Paragon. I'm not sure which of those could be usable (and some might not really count as virtue names). There is also a character who's name is supposedly unpronounceable by everyone not from his country but translates as "Beloved." He decides to call his best friend (also male) Beloved as a joke.
Clemence always sounds more masculine to me than feminine, though I'm not sure it really counts a a virtue name. (The virtue name would be Clemency, which does sound quite feminine to me.)
Faithful is the name of a male character in, uh, I think it's Paradise Lost? Or the Faerie Queen? Something like that, but he's the best friend/sidekick of the main character.
Happy is the nickname of Harold Hogan, longtime friend and ally of Iron Man. Not sure how I'd feel about it as a given name rather than a nn, though.
Pride is a male character in 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood' - where there are characters named after each of the Seven Deadly Sins; as well as Pride, the male ones are Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, and Sloth. I'm not sure Envy's gender is ever clarified.
Charming is a male character in 'Once Upon a Time' (and probably a few other adaptations of fairy tales).
Some virtue names that I think could work as unisex:
Acceptance (maybe)
Accepted
Agape
Approved
Arise (maybe)
Assurance (maybe)
Belief
Bright
Confidence (maybe)
Content
Courage
Credence
Dare
Defiance
Deliverance
Diligence
Discretion
Dream
Eternal
Ever
Fate
Fidelity
Fortune (maybe)
