Re: Reasons For Naming
in reply to a message by Katerina
My parents chose my name because they liked the sound.
When I changed my name it was important to me that my parents both liked the name.
My first name is the name of several relatives, including my great-grandmother, it was also the name of a character from my favourite book. I changed my name as a result of PTSD and that book got me through some really hard times.
My middle name is after my Grandfather's nickname.
My second middle name is after Grandmother.
My little sister is named after my great-grandfather, who was incredibly close to my father and her middle name is after my aunt.
Obviously family names are important to my parents.
