Re: Need new names.

Noooo, say it isn't so?! I've been so looking forward to hearing you announce the arrival of Daphne! It's perfectly normal to get stressed about choosing the right name, especially for us name nerds and especially since she is nearly here. Tbh I think throwing more names into the mix will just make you more stressed and confused about the whole process! You wouldn't want to go with something totally new and different when she's born and then regret not using Daphne later, since it's pretty much been your #1 choice for ages. All the best with the remainder of the pregnancy and your precious little girls arrival :)Sarah -

haha. I know, it's not that I don't like it anymore.. it's just that I can't imagine a baby named Daphne.. I can't even describe what I even mean.. it's weird. Maybe it's just the whole looming thought that I might actually have a real baby to name in 3 weeks. I guess the weight of it has dawned on me! That and my family's negative opinions on Daphne have me worried that it's a horrible name. The kids at school were asking me if I had any names and I was too unsure to actually say what i liked!Don't worry, our girls list is so short that I can't see us changing our minds.

You'll probably call her The Baby for a while, we always did. Then you make an effort, and call her by her name, and it will sound odd for a while.Like new shoes. But then it will settle in.

I can totally imagine a baby Daphne and I don't think I have ever met anyone with this name before! I like the fact that it's not common for little girls these days. None of my family members really liked the name Jasper before he was born, but now they are obviously so used to it and love him immensely, that they don't care at all. Either way, I'm sure when your daughter is born you will figure out exactly what her name is supposed to be :)
