Geezer....more affectionate than derogatory I'd say, though context is everything I guess.
Effie has been used as a nickname for Elizabeth (and other names too) here in England, going back to 1400s at least. I think it's lovely. Euphemia....not so much!!! Although it is a lovely meaning
