Isla or Maeve?
What do you think?I'm thinking of using one as a middle name with Camille.

MaeveMaeve is my favorite of these two. Maeve is my absolute favorite one syllable girl's name. It's cute and spunky.I like Isla but it looks a little too similar to Island. But it also is cute and spunky.Truthfully as a mn to Camille it would 100% depend on the surname. Also if I'm being truthful once again I feel like there are probably slightly better mn choices. Camille is just a bit too A and M heavy for Maeve and a bit too I and L heavy for Isla.

MaeveI don't think Camille Isla flows well at all. And I like the name Maeve better anyway. Camille Maeve is cute, though I think I like Camilla Maeve better.

I like Maeve better than Isla, but I like Camille Isla better than Camille Maeve

MaeveNo question! It's more fairy-queen-esque. Also Isla is oddly very popular around here, so Maeve is more refreshing.

I definitely like Maeve better, but I'm not sure I'd ever use it because this spelling is the Anglicized form and its original spelling, Medb (as well as the variants), would be hard to live with on a daily basis. IOW, I fear Maeve would go the way of Shawn and Shaun once parents learned of and embraced Sean. I'm afraid it would look wrong. OTOH, I can't see Medb taking off anytime soon and I find Maeve very pretty to look at!Paired with Camille, though, I much prefer Isla.

Isla Camille.

IslaMaeve strikes me as a bit drab. If it was pronounced may-EVE (Maëve), I would love it. But alas, it's just anticlimactic ol' 'mave'. Isla is very sleek and has an attractive Northern feel to it. I like it.

MaeveBut both sound horrible as a MN to Camille.

With Camille, I think Maeve is the only one that matches. Isla Camille would work well, but Camille Isla is awkward. I really like Camille Maeve though. Looks pretty and sounds lovely.

Maevebut I don't think Camille Maeve nor Camille Isla sound great. Isla Camille maybe.Isla is pretty, just a bit wispy, and I prefer the concrete-ness of Maeve.

Maeve sounds so sweet and gentle. Isla's are 10 a penny where I live so I find it full and uninspiringalso love Camille

MaeveI love the sound of Maeve, and the imagery I get from it, and I think it sounds better with Camille. Isla is nice enough, but so popular, and although Maeve looks like it'll keep rising (at least where I live in the UK), I doubt it would reach Isla's heights. Maeve seems to have more history and personality to it in my opinion.

MaeveMaeve is more unusual and Camille Maeve has a nicer flow. Camille Isla has too many 'l's making it more awkward.

Definitely Maeve. Isla has had a surge in popularity which will not last. Maeve is timeless.By the way, as a partial solution to your Camille + Chantelle problem, have you considered using Camilla as an alternative to Camille? Camille could still be used as a nn, but to my ears the flow would improve and you'd lose the rhyme.

MaeveI love the sound and meaning and it goes better with Camille IMO.
