Re: Guilty Pleasure Names
Big mood on the foreign names. But it’s worse to contribute to cultural appropriation. Ermentrude sounds very quaint and nostalgic. Is Cassidy a guilty pleasure name? I know a couple of them born in the mid 90s. I’m not the biggest fan of the name tho.

Yeah - maybe one day I'll marry someone from a culture with names I love and then I can use them without being problematic, lol.I always feel snobby when I say this but to me it has a slightly... "trashy" vibe? In general I can be a bit of a name snob and stay away from names I think sound trendy or modern, and Cassidy does to me. I like it because I like "Cass / Cassie" and I think it's sweeter and more interesting than Cassandra.
