Amy vs. Jennifer
Which one do you prefer? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I like both. For me, Amy’s strongest qualities are meaning, simplicity, and sweetness; for Jennifer, it’s warmth, sound, and ties to Guinevere. Today, I’m going with Jennifer.

I prefer Amy although I prefer it as a nn for Amelia and other Am- names.

Amy. Of all the dated names, Amy is pretty high on my list. I think it has a sweet sound, a nice meaning, and a great connection to Little Women. While there is no shortage of Amys either, I find Jennifer to be more generic. It's pretty too, but I swear every other mom I meet these days is named Jennifer whereas I know some young Amys, some old Amys, and some Amys my age.

Amy- It sounds warm and lovable.

Eh, despite having a very cool niece named Aimee, it (and Amy) doesn't do a lot for me. Jennifer is marginally better but only because Jenny and Jenna are a bit nicer.

At face value, I like the sound of Amy better. I don't think the "fer" at the end of Jennifer is very pretty.
However, I absolutely, absolutely love Jenna, so if we're including nicknames, I'd pick that.

Amy, although it’s a toss up.
I’d use Jennifer if I could exclusively use the nickname Jenna.

Jennifer. I simply prefer the sound of it more and it has lots of nickname options. (I especially adore Jenna!)
Amy is nice and decent as well but not enough to make me choose it over the other name.

Amy by a million. I hate Jennifer and Jen. (I love Genevieve and Jenny, though.)

Jennifer. I prefer the sound and vibe of it.

Hate 'em both, they're so damn blah and pasty. But if I had to pick one or die, I'd pick Jennifer; at least you can get a nn out of it.

I much prefer Jennifer. Like Guinevere, it sounds strong and sophisticated. Amy is the 70's Mia - cute but bland and forgettable.

Jennifer, without a doubt. Amy is limp and floppy and lacking in personality; plus, there's no chance of a nn so all Amy people will be stuck with it for ever.Jennifer is energetic and pretty and unlike anything else; Genevieve and Guinevere don't come close! I prefer the full form to Jenny and Jen, but they're OK.

Amy definitely. To me, it's a classic, timeless and pretty name.

Hi Billina !!!!Amy for sure!
I'm tied with it as it is my sister's nickname. Out of this link Amy sounds cute, modern, a bit tomboyish and sincere. I think that Cora has the same vibe. Infact Cora Amy seems a nice combo to my ears.Jennifer is overused and boring. Gwen, Wendy and Guinevere are far better than it.
