Latifah
The thread about Latoya inspired me to ask about Latifah.I never thought about it much until I watched the Swedish thriller TV drama “Caliphate” on Netflix. One of the main characters, Pervin (a name I also really like from the show, it has Turkish origins and is pronounced per-VEEN), has an infant daughter named Latifah.Latifah is an Arabic name, and the feminine form of Latif. The name means “gentle, kind.” It’s pronounced la-TEE-fah.I also think Tifa / Tifah on its own is pretty as well. What do you think?

Queen Latifah instantly comes to mind, as other users probably already mentioned. I think of it as a "one-person-type of name" since it's so synonymous with her. Sort of like Adele, Cher, Beyonce, Oprah and such. That aside, I don't care for Latifah/Tide/Tifah as a name. Just isn't my taste.

Queen Latifah is the first person I think of.I think it's pretty but not something I would use. Latifah is a lot nicer than Tifa.
