It's spiffy. I get an image of a 1980s blonde, ultra Scandinavian. I just don't like how it sounds in my accent. I would say the I like in British, and the T would come out imprecise - not exactly as Bridda, but not like Britta is meant to be pronounced. I'd have to make a point of saying Brit-ta, and that's annoying. So, not so great for me. Same problem I have with Greta - I just say it wrong naturally.I actually prefer Britt.
