I didn't know they'd gone and changed the name of Dixie Landings! My lifemate and I stayed at the old Dixie Landings on our 2nd trip to Disney World. (We're going back for our 5th trip this Thursday -- and staying at the Wilderness Lodge this time. Yay!)

Tracie, I think you're extremely cool not to get offended by the word "Dixie". I live in New York (and being of Sephardic Jewish ancestry, I'm a mixture of Sicilian and Middle Eastern/Asian stock) so I'm not quite as close to the controversy that's brewing over stuff like this in the South right now. I think a lot of it is spill-over from the Confederate flag controversy -- and I thought it was pretty uncool of the South Carolina state government to fly that flag over public buildings, to begin with.

What region of the country are you in, Tracie?
