however you want, i guess. i pronounce my favorite boy's name, sirius,like "SEER-is". everyone else says "SEER-ee-us". it drives me nuts! so i just say it how i want.
PS. i always said "EL", but i've heard different.

you know i wondered about how you pronounce sirius and i was trying to find out the proper way when i ran across your posting. i always pronounced sirius like "sigh-rus" because my friend has a son and that is how she says it and its spelled sirius. when the movie came out i couldn't believe they said it like "seer-ee-us" its sounded so awful to me i still say it my way.
but in response to Elle i say it the same way you do "EL" i think that is the right way to say it but you know you say potAto i say potAAto so ... : )
