Message: "Lacona?" - Behind the Name

Lacona?

My mother, Elaine, and I were talking about names, and Mom mentioned that she had an aunt named Lacona. She didn't know how it was spelled, so Lacona's a guessing. It's pronounced like Lakota, only with a N.

Mom's aunt was part Belgian and part Polish, and she (Mom) speculates that Lacona's Polish.

Any thoughts?

Not sure about Lacona. But as I mentioned on the Opinions board its similar to Lacuna which is from one of my favorite bands, Lacuna Coil who are Italian.

According to a free translation site, Lacuna means "Gap"

Not sure how Gap Coil makes sense, haha.
