Danica pronounciation

I love the name Danica. I always thought it was pronounced Day-nick-a
not Dan-ick-a.
Has anyone else ever heard it pronounced as "Daynicka"?

I like the pronounciation as Day-nick-a, but am also glad to know that it can be pronounced Dan-ick-a.
I suppose you could alter the spelling to Daynica, or Dainica.

i actually know a girl with this name but spelt Danika instead of Danica. She pronounces it as Dan-nic-ka. Which means either there is different ways to pronounce it - or anglicised the pronounciation.

If originated from Serbia or Croatia, the name Danica is pronounced "DAH-nee-tsah".If originated from Romania, the name Danica is pronounced "dah-nee-kah".In both cases, the name is a female pet form of Jordan.
