Could the name, perhaps, have been "Birdsong"? Couldn't find any instances of a "Bordsong", but the surname "Birdsong" is ranked in the 5,376th position on the 1990 U.S. Federal Census.
The surname "Birdsong" is actually a translation of the German surname "Vogelsang" (which ranked 17,496th on the 1990 Census), signifying one who lived on a farm where birds sang.
