With Chinese names, the meaning depends upon how the Chinese characters are written. The elements "Ya" and "Lin" can have different meanings.

Meanings for "Ya":
1. Standard; proper; correct.
2. Refined; elegant.
3. Second.
4. Asia.

Meanings for "Lin":
1. Forest; woods.
2. Beautiful jade.
