All I can think of is the biblical name MAKHI or MACHI (Numbers 13,15), which probably means "bought" (a short form of Machir). But the name is too short to be sure. The KH is strange though.

The "kh" can 'materialize' a "kh" sound. I've seen Michael written Mikhael, Yocheved written Yokheved... it may be an explanation?
