Apart from the singer and my daughter who else is called SINITTA and do you know the meaning of the name?as i cannot find any information

Hi Paul,

there is a Finnish name "Sini" or "Sinikka" which means dark blue. Maybe is has got something to do with these?

I'm thinking SIN as in sinner / sinning
and the ending ita (itta) as in Juanita and Anita.

The meaning thus would be "the sinner"

Why on earth would...

...anyone name their offspring after an unknown word? What if Sinitta meant "aardvark droppings" in Swahili?
