I'd wager it was a combination of Dawn and Elle (which, in addition to the meanings given in its BtN entry, may be a variant of Ella in some cases).If using the above source, your name can be taken to mean "dawn torch"/"dawn corposant", and could thus be further interpreted as "dawn of the sun ray", "dawn of brightness", or "dawn of light". Or it could be taken as "dawn of she" (though that doesn't make much sense, admittedly) or "dawn of the others"—where "others" would've probably originally signified "strangers".Alternatively, Dawnelle could be an elaboration of Dawn using the common name suffix -elle. In this case, the name Elle has really nothing to do with Dawnelle; "elle" just sounds pretty, nothing more.
