Ekaterina Gordeeva is russian. As far as I remember she uses the short form of her name - Katia.Maybe my sister should stick with it?

Very little. I took a class in Russian back in 1984-1985, and I became extremely confused when the professor kept repeating the same English phrase: "This word (or phrase) isn't used in Russia." I feel that if more than 70% of words (or phrases) in a textbook aren't used by the native speakers, the textbook shouldn't be used, especially if the book costs somewhere around $95. I'd love to learn a lot more (I "collect" languages.)Perhaps sometime I'll post my college e-mail address and perhaps resume an online discussion (I haven't heard from the young man I started conversing with in over a year, so I'm pretty much giving up on him. :bigcry:)Phyllis (aka Sidhe Uaine or Gaia Euphoria)
