Hi Lissa,
Baltus is a latinized form of either
1) the Assyrian name "Baltasar" - with the original form "Bel-schar-ussar" which means: May the god Bel protect his lifeor
2) the Old German names beginning with Bald-/Balt- or ending with -bald/-balt, e.g.
Baldram (Old German: bold + raven)
Balthard (Old German: bold + strong, hard)
Baldwin (Old German: bold + friend)
Siegbald (Old German: victory + bold)
etc. etc.I don't know the name Brom, but I think it could be a form of Latin "Bromius" (the loud one) or Old English "Bromley" (brushwood + meadow).Regards, Satu
