Just wanted to add that it is pronounced with grave accent, not acute.

"PELL-ay" (Not exactly an "ay" sound; try adding the first "e" sound in PELL at the end of the name; that should do the trick!). It's a Swedish pet form of Per (Peter).

That would be spelled PEL-eh. I have a little storybook about Pelle who raises and shears his lamb, then works for all his female relatives to pay for the carding, spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing to make a new coat for him. But I never knew how to pronounce it. :)
