Surely there are enough male and female names in the world without parents having to torture their children by messing around with names.
Why is it considered old fashioned or boring if I choose to give my children good old standard family names? And what is the obsession with being unique? Calling your daughter John, Paul, George or Ringo may make you unique but it also makes you look pretty silly!

i think the old-fashioned names are alot more 'unique' nowadays. personally i find them much better too. i just hear some of these names and think that this child is going to have major problems when they get older. a name is the firsy gift a parent gives.
