Just wondering if any clever person knows the meaning of my name. I'm sick of people going to me 'ooh wheres that name from?' and not being able to give an answer!!! I am a female from the UK and have lived here all my life.

Don't know much about the name itself, only that it was passed down through three generations after my great auntie erleen died as a baby. My family background is from england itself, although there are distant links to ireland and scotland.

any info would be MUCH appreciated.
