Hi;
Well, the origins of the name Neneh could be just about anything - after all, Neneh's brother's name is Eagle Eye Cherry!
But I may have something here: in Sweden and Finland, we have the nickname Nenne, which can be short for any female name containing the letter N. Neneh Cherry's full name is Neneh Marianne Karlsson Cherry.
I've always thought that Neneh is just a nn for Marianne...
