Archivespronoucing mt daughter name
My daughter's name is Danika. I am SOOOOOO tired of everyone calling her Da NIKA!!! It drives us crazy! She is too nice to correct them but I do right away! I wanted the speling to be Danica but my husband liked Danika. I think if it were the "C" people would say it correctly. Does any other DaniKa have this problem?

I don't think that's a problem for other Danikas and Danicas because
Da-NI-KA is the correct/proper pronunciation.

Not always...
There are Danikas who pronounce it DA-nee-kah. That's just as acceptable.
Putting a C in there would not help, though. It seems a bit late to do so, anyway.
