I found an Erebushttp://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Erebus&r=2Aside from the above Erebus and the aforementioned Cerebrus, it might also be akin to Cerebrum.http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=cerebrum&r=2Mina

Cerebus is a name from greek mythology. It was a 3 headed dog that guarded the under world for hades.

Here in South Africa there's a brand of table salt called Cerebos; why, I don't know. It's got a picture of a little chicken in a hurry, and the slogan: See How It Runs.Wasn't Caliban's mother Setebos or Cetebos or something?

Cerebus is the name of a barbarian (aren't they all?) aardvark in a Canadian comic book series. I've not read it.Best I can tell from the sparse citations on the 'Net, Cerebus seems to be an infrequent alternate spelling of Cerberus. Not very exciting, is it?- Da.

Are you sure it's Cerebus and not Cerberus?Cerberus was the three-headed dog that guarded Hades' domain (the Greek underworld.) One of the labors of Herakles was to bring Cerberus up from Hades to the "upper world".I'm not saying that you're mistaken in the name you posted, but this is the closest I could get to it. :)Phyllis (aka Sidhe Uaine or Gaia Euphoria)
