I go by Doshia because somehow it got misspelled on my birth certicate. I was named after my grandmother, Doshie. Does anyone know the meaning of Doshie and Doshia please?

Hello, My name is Doshia and I was named after my grandmother who passed away shortly after I was born and both my parents are deceased. I was named after my father's best friend's girl friend; as my father's friend was killed in a training accident in World War II, Daddy never met the girl, but he liked the name. I'm not sure, I think he may have been training in the midwest. I believe it to be a nickname for "Theodosia" and mean "given"

I'm also looking for the origin of the name, Doshia. It was my grandmother's name. She also had aunts named Annie, Maggie and Mamie. I wondered if it was Irish?
