The Carrington was an artist at the turn of the last century as far as I recall, an Englishwoman whose first name was Dora and who very sensibly used her ln for professional and social purposes.

Lord Carrington was the Foreign Secretary in Mrs Thatcher's British government; his family ln was Smith.
