Roberts means "son of Robert" and in the UK is most common in Wales (the forms Robertson in Scotland, Robinson in England and also Robson in Northern England). McNabb is a form of the Scottish clan name MacNabb (in gaelic mac an aba) meaning "son of the abbot".
