Hello! Does anyone out there no the origin and meaning of the name Sigita?
My friend thinks it's indian in origin. It's a common name for Lithuanian girls
and my friend is Lithunian. I've searched all over the internet and can't find any info
at all. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am guessing that is Indian as in from India. Unfortunately, I can't recognize that name as Indian in that spelling.
(I would have searched for some connection with Siegfried etc. if you hadn't asked for Indian)
