Hi Bex,

Ellevsen/Ellefsen are Scandinavian surnames, mostly used in Norway, more rarely used in Denmark. They mean "son of Ellev/Ellef".

Ellev/Ellef are a variants of the Old Norse name EilĂ­fr which means "always, for ever" + "life".
