my niece is named ciarrai it is the irish spelling of kerry please could you tell me what this means it is not in the list. I would be most grateful thankyou.

Ciarrai/Kerry is a county in Ireland. Ciarrai means 'Ciar's people'. The name Ciar means 'black' or 'dark' as somebody already said.Tara

Hay PatriciaWhen i looked at other baby-names searchingmachines (http://tools.oxygen.com/babynamer), i couldn't find Ciarrai...but i did found Ciaran (m), which is Irish-Gaelic, meaning 'black - haired', and Ciaran's source is Ciar (F!!!) meaning 'Dark'...
