meaning or history of Narcedalia
I'm hispnic, female and I have read about the posting about my first name, now I'm intresting on finding out on my middle name Narcedalia. I know my grandma got it from a book novel before I was born, that that would explain it, my first name came from a novel too. I'm not sure if it was a book novel or by radio they do that in Mexico. any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i don't know the exact meaning, but i'd assume that it is a combination of Narcissa (in greek legend, a god who stared at her reflextion so long out of vainness that she died and became a Narcissus flower) and Dahlia, which is a name based after another type of flower. so your name is two types of flowers combined.

NarcissusNarcissus was a young man in Greek mythology. Narcissa is the feminine form of his name.

On what are you basing this?I highly doubt's the case, as it's a Mexican name....

I see this flower thing as a speculation too, but what has Mexican to do with it to make it unlikely? I checked: narcissus in Spanish is narciso, and dahlia in Spanish is dalia, so at least the words seem to work out for me.The dahlia even seems to be the national flower of Mexico:

it might be invented by the author as well. If you are named after the book Narcedalia Piedrotas, there should be some sources in Spanish maybe , about where the author got that name from ^^
