"Guerino" is the Italian equivalent of the name "Warren ", which was originally a Teutonic name meaning "defender" or "park-protector; game-warden". It is derived from the same root as other names meaning "war" -- but in this case, it has a more positive meaning. It makes a great name for a hardcore advocate for the natural environment. :)
