two names of young men...
I began a new job and I get a chance to see many MANY name tags, badges, passports, driver's licenses, etc. Two names I saw this week that struck me were Loyo and Moin. I have a feeling these are both nicknames, but I have no idea where they are from. The young man named Loyo appeared to be of northern European heritage, and the young man named Moin appeared to be of central Asian heritage (more specifically from what I like to call the "-Stan lands.") I'm not so great at spotting ethnicities--plus I have no clue how to pronounce these names, I only saw them when I check their name tags. I just thought they were cool. Thanks for any info!

I don't know what you mean by "northen European", but I'm Swedish, and I've never heard of "Loyo" as a Scandinavian name at least.

For some reason the name Loyo seemed Welsh to me, but that sounds completely ridiculous. (:
