Heydlauff surname--convert to middle name?
Hi! I want to honor my grandmother by using her surname as my son's middle name, but I think Heydlauff is a mouthful. I like Heydrich (Richard is my father's name, so it would combine the two nicely), but alas, it is the last name of Reinhard Heydrich, Hitler's #2 man. By using Heydrich, would I be screwing my kid--hi, your middle name is the same as one of the most horrible men in modern history? Should I just go with Heydlauff? Does anyone have any variations of names using "heyd" (pronounced "hide", so Heyden is out)? Thanks for any advice!
