http://www.asianart.com/mongolia/11.htmlFrom what I've found, Shamba is predominantly used as a name in the Indian culture, but I just found something that says it IS a Swahili word meaning "a smallholding" ( http://onelook.com/?w=smallholding&ls=a ). I also just found out that Shamba is the Hindustani word for the seventh day of the week (Saturday).
