This is a male first name. All I can find about it is that it's a Muslim name that means "wise" I need to know if it is an Arabic name (as opposed to Turkish or Persian) and also... how to pronouce it?Thanks so much to anyone who can help!

It is an Arabic name - and it is pronounced Kay-san - in arabic it is spelled (romanized) Kaf-ya-seen-Alif-nunTo my knowledge its popularity is derived from a prophetic tradition from the prophet Muhammad wherein another derivation of the root form is used.My appologies in not being able to answer any further, or in future, however I only came across this site by chance during a search and thought to answer your posting.Take care,Kaysan
