Rigoberta is the female form to Rigoberto, from ancient germanic, meaning "he who shines for his wealth" (the element "berth" means "shine" and is very used in other spanish names: Adalberto, Roberto, Humberto, etc.) It's a latin name not very common today in latin America. The pronunciation in spanish is [ree - goh - BER - tah]. Regards.
